Women of God Working In Unity

We praise God for another year of celebration of the wonderful women of Providence. We are privileged to follow in the long-held traditions of Women’s Day programs. This year, our theme is “Women of God Working in Unity” (Romans 12:5 KJV).
This year, the Women’s Day Steering Committee has planned several events that we know will be an encouragement and blessing for the women of our congregation and invited friends. They are as follows:
- Freedom School Book Drive
members are asked to donate new or gently used books for rising 1st through 5th graders (see link for Amazon wish list on Registration Form) - All Women Bible Study and Dinner led by Rev. Natalie McLean
Tynes Hall / Wednesday - May 17, 2023 / 6:00 to 7:15 pm - Women’s Day Program & Luncheon
Howard A. Chubbs Enrichment Center /Saturday – May 20, 2023 / 12:00 noon

To bring this celebration to a delightful conclusion, we invite each of you and your families to join us in worship on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 10:55 am. Rev. Rhonda Butler will bring to us a Word from God.
Our financial goal for this year is $50,000. We are asking each woman to contribute $250 and each girl $50. All of the contributions are used to support the maintenance and functioning of our church. This year, 10% of the proceeds from Women’s Day will be earmarked for support of any natural disasters that might affect our local or statewide communities. Please find attached to this letter the contribution/registration form to be used to confirm your donation and attendance to the special events. Please return this form in the enclosed envelope on or before May 14, 2023. You can also utilize the Givelify application - be sure to select the “Women’s Day” option.
