Providence sponsors six different levels of Girl Scouts in troops that are usually grade-leveled. All troops have their own leaders, assistants and volunteers. Those troops and grade levels are listed below. Parents are encouraged to join with their daughters to show support and help out with projects throughout the year. Parents who are cookie moms, fall product parents, troop treasures, and camping parents are required to register and complete current criminal background checks.
History
Girl Scouts was founded in 1912 in Savannah, GA. and today has millions of girls all over the world. The organization over the past few years has become the premier organization for the development of girls and young women. They are leaders in the development of leadership skills and most recently, STEM projects. Our goal is to help with the positive development of girls through our carefully planned programs, projects and skill mastery activities. All programs are age appropriate and challenging for the girl.
