The Missions Ministry of Providence Baptist Church believes that Matthew 25-35-36 challenges us as believers to seek opportunities to show our “big love” for God in enthusiastic worship but also through acts of community service within the church, local community, and state. We believe opportunities for evangelism and witnessing are created as we minister to the physical and material needs of people.
Providence has a number of active Missionary and Community Outreach ministries to meet the interest and talents of most of our congregants. Whether visiting people in long-term care facilities, hospital visitation, outreach to those who are incarcerated, volunteering at a homeless shelter, collecting food for a food drive, or responding to a natural disaster. Providence members are committed to sharing Christ’s love in this community and beyond.
Additionally, Providence holds membership in North Carolina General Baptist State Convention and the Women’s Auxiliary, Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention, the Progressive National Baptist Convention, and the National Baptist Convention, USA.
